Order directly from our website AND our new mobile app (download from App Store/Google Play). For delivery you'll get the same local drivers we've been using, but without the markups. We pay a portion of the delivery, so you save on fees, and we save the 30% commission we would have paid...it's a win-win!
We’ve always thought the 30 to 35% commission fees we paid to the food delivery companies were awfully high — but we wanted to provide that convenience for our customers.
Then came COVID-19.
For months, most of our business was run through food delivery companies… with a third of our revenue going straight to them (on top of increased expenses for COVID!). We also had to offer discounts and pay marketing fees just to make sure our listings didn’t disappear in the endless list of restaurants. It's taking our local business and funneling the money national.
Now we’re doing delivery the local way.
Our online partner for takeout is now offering delivery services, using the same drivers that already serve our diners in and around the Kent area. You simply place your order from our website or our mobile app, and they call for a delivery person to bring it to you from Little City Grill.
The delivery fee is a flat charge based on distance, and Little City chips in to pay a portion of it, every time. Your money stays here in Kent, to pay Kent area drivers and support our local business. We pay a monthly subscription fee to support the operation. It’s a better way… and most importantly, it’s sustainable.
